Cardinal Michael von Faulhaber of Bavaria writes in a pastoral letter that the clergy have a duty to proclaim the requirements of natural law - not just to the average people in the pews, but to the powerful people in government as well.

Ultimately, though, neither Faulhaber nor the clergy in his diocese bother to do this in any cases except those where laws passed by the Nazi regime appear to directly impact their own interests.
