Hermann Goering issues a decree banning public demonstrations by the Communist Party (KPD). Although the KPD is not yet banned outright, this restriction on public demonstrations prevents the communists from launching any mass protests of the Nazi regime and inhibits their ability to compete or protest against the Nazis in advance of the national elections next month.
