Jews are ordered out of Zurich, Switzerland. The town council of Zurich tries to protect the Jews, but many are murdered by mobs of angry Christians before they can be removed entirely.

Although Christians usually try to avoid "infection" from Jews by walling them off in ghettos and restricting their ability to go outside, sometimes that isn't enough and Jews are expelled entirely - with all their property confiscated before they leave first, of course.

Such actions often occur in the wake of some event for which Jews are blamed - desecration of a church, killing a Christian child and taking their blood, etc. In such cases the Jews are lucky not to be slaughtered entirely, so being expelled is almost a relief.
