Heinrich Himmler issues an order that all Jews in northwest Poland, now known as Warthegau and annexed by Germany, are to be deported to the remaining Polish areas of occupied Poland (General Government).

Himmler also states that all Jews in Germany, then estimated at around 550,000, are to be moved by the end of February, 1940.
